Program: Education Services Unit - High School Liaison Officers

Description of Services: The primary role of the High School Liaison Officer is to maintain the safety of both students and staff in a high school setting
  • designated HRPS officers respond to calls specifically related to high schools throughout the Region of Halton
  • High School Officers are a resource for students, teachers, parents and other community agencies
  • youth are able to build positive connections with the familiar officers who attend their schools
  • Officers can provide education related to topics which impact youth including drugs, alcohol, driving, making positive life choices as well as overall crime
  • investigations can arise from complaints from students, staff, parents and the community at large
