Provides pensions for disability or death, financial support in the form of allowances, health care benefits and services to members of the Canadian Forces and Merchant Navy veterans who served in the First World War, the Second World War, Korean War, and the Vietnam War * certain civilians who are entitled to benefits because of their wartime service; former members of the Canadian Forces (including those who served in Special Duty Areas) * the Royal Canadian Mounted Police * survivors and dependents of military and civilian personnel VAC services include:
