Organization: Sheridan Villa - Long-Term Care Centre
Description of Services: Adult day program * social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for frail elderly and people with disabilities as well as those with cognitive impairments, chronic illnesses, and for people with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia in a group setting for part of the day * helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care * provides specialized social, physical, intellectual and emotional recreation and restorative programs, including music, horticulture, art and crafts, discussion, Montessori * transportation is not included in program fee * transportation options can include TransHelp, Ride Connect
  • secure environment
  • bathing program for Sheridan Villa ADS clients and members of the community
  • daily exercise program overseen by a physiotherapist
  • group exercise and falls prevention classes
  • foot care clinics and hair salon on site
  • assistance with eating, toileting, grooming, and medication
  • nutritious meals and snacks
  • maximizes client independence and sense of wellness
  • caregiver respite

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Adults 18 years of age with valid Ontario Health card * Ontario Health atHome Care Coordinators assess the needs of applicants
